Burgundy Salon

15 Apr, Wed | 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Every village has its own personality. Marsannay, Chambolle-Musigny, and Gevrey-Chambertin — each poured twice, once from the old guard, once from a newer producer rewriting the rules. Six glasses of Pinot Noir. Three villages. Hosted by fellow member Jaclene Liew dipWSET.

Come with opinions. Leave with a few new names on your list. Lights snacks included.

Village Saturday: Fixin vs Marsannay

18 Apr, Sat | 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Two neighbouring villages, one blind tasting, zero wrong answers — but there is a quiz, so come prepared. Bring a bottle from either appellation to share, and we'll do the rest. Casual, curious, and a little competitive. Dinner included.

Kei Shiogai — The New Voice of Burgundy

24 Apr, Fri | 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM

In just a few vintages, Shiogai has emerged as one of the most compelling young voices in Burgundy today. Originally from Japan, he moved to Burgundy with a singular ambition: to make Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that express the character and nuance of each site with precision and restraint. The wines are already attracting serious attention — for their clarity, energy, and striking sense of place.

This evening spans whites and reds across the range, culminating in Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, one of the rarest bottles in the lineup.

Whites:

  • Vin de France, “Cuvée Dame Hertz”

  • Puligny-Montrachet, Corvée des Vignes

  • Chassagne-Montrachet, Fontaine Sot

  • Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru, Chalumeaux

  • Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru

Reds:

  • Pommard Poisot

  • Gevrey-Chambertin

  • Gevrey-Chambertin Baraques

  • Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Cherbaudes

50ml pours of each wine and dinner are included. Seats are limited.

Community Cellar: ABCPN

25 Apr, Sat | 9:30 PM – 11:30 PM

Anything But Chardonnay & Pinot Noir.

We're laying on a cup ramen buffet — a spread of cup noodles with toppings like ramen eggs, chashu, and more. Your bottle should do one thing: pair with it. One bottle per person gets you in, and ABCPN rules apply. This is not the night for the safe, the obvious, or the commercially predictable.

SBR will be bringing a bottle to the table too. The best pairing 🍜 x 🍷 of the evening wins a mystery prize.

Dinner with Ted Lemon — Littorai

29 Apr, Wed | 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM

Ted Lemon is, by most accounts, one of the most influential winemakers in California today. Trained in Dijon and shaped by years at some of Burgundy's great domaines — Dujac, Roumier, Roulot, he became the first American ever appointed winemaker and vineyard manager of a Burgundian estate, at Domaine Guy Roulot in Meursault. He returned to California and founded Littorai in 1993 with his wife Heidi, bringing those same Burgundian sensibilities to the cool coastal hills of Sonoma and Anderson Valley.

The wines — single-vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, farmed biodynamically, made with minimal intervention, are collectible, long-lived, and unmistakably of their place.

Ted will be joining us in person for dinner and a tasting of his wines. Further details to be announced soon.
